Newbold-On-Avon RFC was formed in 1894 and is the oldest village rugby club in Rugby.

We currently play our 1st XV rugby in the Midlands 2 West (South) league and field a second XV in the Merit league. The real strength of the club is the comradeship of those who play their rugby at Parkfield Road. We start building this team spirit at an early stage with our Junior section and this leads to many of these young players finding their way into the colts then our senior sides and 1st XV. Now with our 'young' Vet's XV building a great squad of experienced players rugby is available to those boys nearing the end of their 'rugby days'.

Famous names to have played their rugby at Newbold are Rodney Webb and more recently Richard Cockerill both representing England during their playing careers - Richard is now Head Coach at Leicester Tigers.

We offer qualified coaching at all levels and encourage our players to progress.

Parkfield Road, the home of Newbold-On-Avon RFC, is a superb sports complex. It has three full sized rugby pitches with full flood lighting recently completed with four changing rooms.

We also pride ourselves on our facilities boasting the one of the largest function rooms in the town ideal for any corporate functions, wedding receptions, birthdays and family celebrations. With a lounge, large bar area and fully equiped kitchen we can enure your event will run smoothly.

If you live in, or are moving to the area and are interested in joining a friendly and successful, well set up, local rugby club then contact Newbold RFC. Whether it be for the rugby or simply a beer on a Saturday afternoon you will always be welcome down 'The Bold'.
