Barclays has donated a complete set of coaching kit and equipment to Newbold -on - Avon Junior Section. Both, boys and girls teams will benefit from the donation, it being one of 1,200 packs being awarded each year, for three years, as part of a UK - wide £30m grassroots sports investment programme, Barclays Spaces for Sports.

Michelle Smith, Barclays Sponsorship Director said: "Barclays are delighted to be supporting Newbold -on- Avon Rugby Club Juniors and hope this coaching kit will encourage their interest in sport and lead them to greater success!"

Barclays Spaces for Sports, a partnership between Barclays, Football Foundation and Groundwork, will create sustainable sports sites and provide coaching kit and equipment to communities in most need of help across the UK.

Bob Harcourt, Newbold -on-Avon RFC Head Coach said: "Through the determined efforts of Sean O'Brien (Boys) and Rich Welsby (Girls) the Club has started to build a Junior section which, as it grows, is involving more and more local youngsters in healthy sporting activity.
